“Business meetings and conventions are being cancelled for no good reason,” said Stein, citing lavish business meetings for banks and insurers (e.g. AIG) who took advantage of taxpayer bailout money as the culprit. Stein suggests the President should clarify which business meetings are sensible and which the taxpayers will not stand for – going on to say 99.9% of all meetings are essential for business.
